Green New Deal Now Bike Ride

This is a matter of life or death. We are facing unprecedented times of health, economic, and climate catastrophe. Tens of thousands of Austinites are unemployed, and more or working for less than living wages during a pandemic. While the working class suffers under COVID conditions, politicians debate under-powered relief bills that are coming months late. Enough is enough! Join as as we remind our Congressmen that we need real solutions to these crises, and we need them now! We demand:

1. Immediate COVID-19 Crisis Relief (including $2,000 per month for all) – to provide needed support for working class families across America
2. A Green Stimulus (including investments in renewable Public Power) – to ensure that the recovery moves us toward a sustainable future
3. A Green Job Guarantee – for a recovery that leaves no one behind in restoring millions of jobs lost during the pandemic
4. The PRO Act – that will help thousands of Texans win workplace protections
5. The Healthcare Emergency Guarantee Act – to get people the health care they need in this unprecedented time

Join us for a social bike ride to Congressman Lloyd Doggett and Senator John Cornyn’s offices. We will stop at their offices to roll out banners, get photos, and spread the message. We will be part of actions across the country to demand COVID relief and a Green New Deal!
