Summary

Travis County voters will have two important propositions on their ballot this year - Prop A & Prop B. There are also 14 statewide propositions on the ballot this year.

Action Items

Action Box

Vote! Early voting starts on October 23rd and Election Day is November 7th.

Election Day is November 7th & if you live in Travis County, one of the things you’ll see on your ballot is Prop B, a $276 million parks bond.

 

This video goes over one aspect of that bond… the Onion Creek Greenway. If Prop B passes, $15.5 million will be spent to construct a trail along the creek, connecting Richard Moya Park to McKinney Falls Parkway (right outside McKinney Falls State Park).

Election Day is November 7th & if you live in Travis County, one of the things you’ll see on your ballot is Prop B, a $276 million parks bond.

Impact Austin is hosting a panel discussion with local civic leaders from Austin Common, NextGen America, and Organizing for Action to discuss recent trends in voting, ways to engage to help get out the vote, how to become informed on election issues and how their organizations support civic engagement.

The upcoming City of Austin election on May 6th will feature two propositions that could change the landscape of police oversight in Austin. At issue is the power and authority of the City’s Office of Police Oversight.

Join us on April 20 for a discussion about this election. The event will feature a moderated discussion between three guest speakers, followed by a Q&A with the audience. Come to get answers to questions such as:

– What is the Office of Police Oversight?

– What would the competing propositions on the ballot actually do?

— Why should we care about this election?
