Formerly known as Solid Waste Services, Austin Resource Recovery provides residential curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard trimmings in the City of Austin. Additional services include sweeping streets, collecting dead animals, operating a drop-off center for household hazardous waste and collecting bulk items and large brush.

Are you recycling, composting or reusing more than you’re throwing away? Help the City of Austin achieve its goal of reaching zero waste by 2040 by joining Austin Resource Recovery’s Zero Waste Block Leader Program. The program connects green-minded community advocates and neighbors to help educate and increase participation in the City’s recycling, composting and other programs.
