You can RSVP here.\n \n\nOpens at 10 a.m.\nProgram begins at 10:30 a.m.\nLunch served at 12 p.m.\n\n\nBlack Land Matters\, The Symposium – explores the ongoing challenges that Black Americans continue to face regarding land ownership. This event will examine resources available to help secure black land ownership in the face of ongoing land loss and/or threat.\n \n\nThe purpose of this symposium is to cultivate a space where communication and dialogue can be the fuel to generate ideas\, resources\, strategies\, and networks to help black communities:\n \n\nReaffirm the value of land ownership.\nPursue methods and resources to expand landownership for wealth building\, cultural sustainability\, and improved health outcomes.\nDevelop plans to maintain communal properties\, and\nExplore the expansion of ownership models that lead to equitable and conscious community developments.\n\n\nPartners include the City of Austin Economic Development Department\, Austin Public Health\, and the Austin Public Library.\n \n\nParking is free to the public.
